गीता में कृषण कहते है – “मैं जानने योग्य पवित्र ओंकार हूं”

ओंकार का अनुभव इस जगत का आत्यंतिक, अंतिम अनुभव है। कहना चाहिए, दि आल्टिमेट फ्रयूचर। जो हो सकती है आखिरी बात, वह है ओंकार का अनुभव।

# ओंकार जगत की परम शांति में गूंजने वाले संगीत का नाम है।
# ओंकार का अर्थ है – “दि बेसिक रियलिटी” वह जो मूलभूत सत्य है, जो सदा रहता है।
# जब तक हम शोरगुल से भरे है, वह सूक्ष्मतम् ध्वनि नहीं सुन सकते।

संगीत दो तरह के हैं। एक संगीत जिसे पैदा करने के लिए हमें स्वर उठाने पड़ते हैं, शब्द जगाने पड़ते हैं, ध्वनि पैदा करनी पड़ती है। इसका अर्थ हुआ, क्योंकि ध्वनि पैदा करने का अर्थ होता है कि कहीं कोई चीज घर्षण करेगी, तो ध्वनि पैदा होगी। जैसे मैं अपनी ताली बजाऊं, तो आवाज पैदा होगी। यह दो हथेलियों के बीच जो घर्षण होगा, जो संघर्ष होगा, उससे आवाज पैदा होगी।

तो हमारा जो संगीत है, जिससे हम परिचित हैं, वह संगीत संघर्ष का संगीत है। चाहे होंठ से होंठ टकराते हों, चाहे कंठ के भीतर की मांस-पेशियां टकराती हों, चाहे मेरे मुंह से निकलती हुई वायु का ध्क्का आगे की वायु से टकराता हो, लेकिन टकराहट से पैदा होता है संगीत। हमारी सभी ध्वनियां टकराहट से पैदा होती हैं। हम जो भी बोलते हैं, वह एक व्याघात है, एक डिस्टरबेंस है।

ओंकार उस ध्वनि का नाम है, जब सब व्याघात खो जाते हैं, सब तालियां बंद हो जाती हैं, सब संघर्ष सो जाता है, सारा जगत विराट शांति में लीन हो जाता है, तब भी उस सन्नाटे में एक ध्वनि सुनाई पड़ती है। वह सन्नाटे की ध्वनि है; “Voice of Silence” वह शून्य का स्वर है। उस क्षण सन्नाटे में जो ध्वनि गूंजती है, उस ध्वनि का, उस संगीत का नाम ओंकार है। अब तक हमने जो ध्वनियां जानी हैं, वे पैदा की हुई हैं। अकेली एक ध्वनि है, जो पैदा की हुई नहीं है; जो जगत का स्वभाव है; उस ध्वनि का नाम ओंकार है। इस ओंकार को कृष्ण कहते हैं, यह अंतिम भी मैं हूं। जिस दिन सब खो जाएगा, जिस दिन कोई स्वर नहीं उठेगा, जिस दिन कोई अशांति की तरंग नहीं रहेगी, जिस दिन जरा-सा भी कंपन नहीं होगा, सब शून्य होगा, उस दिन जिसे तू सुनेगा, वह ध्वनि भी मैं ही हूं। सब के खो जाने पर भी जो शेष रह जाता है। जब कुछ भी नहीं बचता, तब भी मैं बच जाता हूं। मेरे खोने का कोई उपाय नहीं है, वे यह कह रहे हैं। वे कह रहे हैं, मेरे खोने का कोई उपाय नहीं है। मैं मिट नहीं सकता हूं, क्योंकि मैं कभी बना नहीं हूं। मुझे कभी बनाया नहीं गया है। जो बनता है, वह मिट जाता है। जो जोड़ा जाता है, वह टूट जाताहै। जिसे हम संगठित करते हैं, वह बिखर जाता है। लेकिन जो सदा से है, वह सदा रहता है।

इस ओंकार का अर्थ है, दि बेसिक रियलिटी; वह जो मूलभूत सत्य है, जो सदा रहता है। उसके ऊपर रूप बनते हैं और मिटते हैं, संघात निर्मित होते हैं और बिखर जाते हैं, संगठन खड़े होते हैं और टूट जाते हैं, लेकिन वह बना रहता है। वह बना ही रहता है। यह जो सदा बना रहता है, इसकी जो ध्वनि है, इसका जो संगीत है, उसका नाम ओंकार है। यह मनुष्य के अनुभव की आत्यंतिक बात है। यह परम अनुभव है।

इसलिए आप यह मत सोचना की आप बैठकर ओम-ओम का उच्चार करते रहें, तो आपको ओंकार का पता चल रहा है। जिस ओम का आप उच्चार कर रहे हैं, वह उच्चार ही है। वह तो आपके द्वारा पैदा की गई ध्वनि है।

इसलिए धीरे-धीरे होंठ को बंद करना पड़ेगा। होंठ का उपयोग नहीं करना पड़ेगा। फिर बिना होंठ के भीतर ही ओम का उच्चार करना। लेकिन वह भी असली ओंकार नहीं है। क्योंकि अभी भी भीतर मांस-पेशियां और हड्डियां काम में लाई जा रही हैं। उन्हें भी छोड़ देना पड़ेगा। भीतर मन में भी उच्चार नहीं करना होगा। तब एक उच्चार सुनाई पड़ना शुरू होगा, जो आपका किया हुआ नहीं है। जिसके आप साक्षी होते हैं, कर्ता नहीं होते हैं। जिसको आप बनाते नहीं, जो होता है, आप सिर्फ जानते हैं।

जिस दिन आप अपने भीतर ओंम की उस ध्वनि को सुन लेते हैं, जो आपने पैदा नहीं की, किसी और ने पैदा नहीं की; हो रही है, आप सिर्फ जान रहे हैं, वह प्रतिपल हो रही है, वह हर घड़ी हो रही है। लेकिन हम अपने मन में इतने शोरगुल से भरे हैं कि वह सूक्ष्मतम ध्वनि सुनी नहीं जा सकती। वह प्रतिपल मौजूद है। वह जगत का आधर है।
